local level. san francisco is a place that we are very proud of. we got kicked out of our office, just by the landlord and the release. there is a lot of political pressure on us just to keep the political office closed. as most of my staff will tell you, there was really one person who thought it was the perfect idea to stay in san francisco and pay the market rent, and that was me. maybe state bureaucrats did not like that some much, but at least one of them did, and that was me. we are delighted to be in san francisco. it is important for us to be on the ground. we have 25 offices around the state. because of groups like this and how supportive you are and how hard we try to work with our license fees and the public, despite all of the challenges you would expect, san francisco is one of the few places where calls come up to my level. i have all sorts of things that are -- that seem very, very challenging all the time, all over the place. you guys are about the least i hear of, and that is a great thing. i want to thank you for cooperating with my office. anytime you want me to come

locale," and there are five criteria. i guess first of all, when you look at history of why an llp was created, it was a permit that was designed for restaurants and cafes, so that they could easily apply for an entertainment permit that didn't require them to go through the long process of being underwritten and providing security plans and those sorts of things. so when you look at the 518 valencia space, our concern is that we really don't understand what the space is. we have had a whole litany of different requests coming out of the space via the different third parties that have rented the space. one was a record-release party/beer kegger. last week they had a critical mass event, but i'm not really comfortable with this venue space being issued an llp, because we're not comfortable with the lack of security plan and first and foremost, it just does not meet the definition, if you read the definition of what an "llp is," namely patrons or members are admited to a locale, which there is food or beverages for consumption on the premises, including, but are not limited to alcoho

bring to city hall is a locally sourced healthy food insurance. santa clara county recently band all vending machines from their county facilities and i think we can lead by example, whether it's city hall, hospitals or our schools we should insist on healthy foods and healthy food choices and teaching our children how to grow their own food and cooking. so i would like to see an increase in community garden and an increase in the city with leadership around this issue. >> mr. everest is this your third or fourth use of the time card? >> i know i am out of these. struggling to pay for local schools. many costs are based on a federal mandates and requirements. what should the role of the federal government be in local education? >> i work very hard to provide the tools and resources to our community to get funding for new schools and i am proud of that. very supportive of the new issues that are been initiated. we are doing a lot and i never voted for a mandate. it is one of the things that is killing communities like springfield and everybody in western massachusetts and throughout our great state. it is the high cost of education that is driving the train. just go back because i have time, student interest rates, the bottom line is that you cannot rewrite my record. we made sure we did without raising taxes. constant criticisms on the fact that i do not want to raise taxes on many americans. we did it without raising taxes by tweaking federal programs. i worked very hard as a state senator and continue to work with the community college. we found at a community college that you have opportunities where businesses in the area are working
